Working with a family of five who bought a home recently in the suburbs of Illinois.
The project consists of remodeling of the existing first floor and adding a new second floor.
The original home is photographed in black and white.
We worked through numerous sketches before arriving at a floor plan and exterior elevations that all were happy with. Stay tuned for updates as we go through construction this year.

Two design options for the view from the street were discussed - the top rendering was chosen for the final design and implementation.

Hinsdale Coffee Shop Proposed Elevation Update

Proposed Exterior of a Coffee Shop in Hinsdale, IL. The original image is shown in black and white.
Removing the hexagon window and adding a new window with flanking wood shutters. Then adding longing wooden shutters below in the closed position (no window) for better window alignment.
Client wanted to show the development of the coffee bean from beginning (on the vine) to the roasting process then ready for consumption. A new awning was added over the existing storefront entry. Flower planters added to make the location more inviting and soften the hardscape.
